  Excellent video, isn't it so true. If you have doubts, check them out. And keep checking until you are satisfied with the answers.

  When I was studying. For some reason any doubts I had I put down to just not understanding. And I figured that eventually I would.

  Once I changed that thought pattern and actively set out to prove things I quickly discovered my doubts were justified. Ironically, what I set out to do was prove that the witnessess were above board. Just to put my mind at ease and commit more fully. What I discovered was the complete opposite. As I started to find out things, more and more just came flooding in showing the inconsitencies of what was being taught. And the fabrications and justification of UN involvement and false predictions.

  My only regret is it took me 10 years to question the organisation along with their teachings.

  the destruction of the babylon of the future takes place in one hour and the kings of the earth wail over her demise.. .

  this indicates the worlds leaders are not expecting america's judgment and destruction.

  this destruction comes suddenly and without warning.. .

  Hi AGuest, I think my brain is just not working properly tonight, because I have read and re read what you have written about Babylon the Great not being "the world empire of false religion."

  but then you say Because she is solely "christendom"... which includes, most reprehensibly now, the WTBTS and its "false" christs (anointed), both those who never actually were anointed (but claim to be)... and those who were/are and may have come out, but once again "defiled" themselves with "women" (the harlotous daughters of Babylon the Great, the religions "she" creates).

  Are you not still saying that Babylon the Great still ends up being false religion?

  Sorry, maybe I'm just not absorbing what you are saying

  Hello Everyone! Heres my story!

  i'm new here, and although i have been a lurker for several months now, its nice to finally dive in and join you all.

  i hope that i find some friends as thats what i'm really looking for, i've seen enough proof that theres real love outside of this religious prison that i've biult for myself over the years, but i would like to feel it firsthand.

  it's been a little hard to post anything since it's not easy being around in websites like these when you're still in and theres other jw's around sticking their noses everywhere, but now that i've found the time, i would like to share a bit about my story.... this is an email i sent paul grundy, (creator of jwfacts.com) and it basically sums up the story of my life... so i thought it would be good if you all had a read as well.

  given all his experience as gods second in command (or god himself depending on what denomination) youd think the experience of dying horribly as a human should be no sweat right?

  well according to the story that is as far away from the truth as humanly possible.. .

  Satanas Did they all sweat blood? Who knows? maybe some of them did. Maybe a lot of them did. I'm not sure anyone kept a record of this.

  I can't say that I think sacrificing yourself willingly is wimpish but one thing I do know. If he is a wimp, then give me the wimp any day. I would rather have him in my life than the people who laughs at him.

  Hmmmm... so it CAN happen... and DOES happen... to people under enormous stress... but just didn't happen to him. Because, of course, although he knew he was going to be impaled... alive... with nails driven through his limbs... and a spear thrust through his side... without anesthesia of any kind... by people he loved but who, in exchange, hated him... for no reason at all other than that he exposed their leaders... and worship... as false... that wasn't stressful enough. No, apparently he needed a little more stress than that.

  I agree with you. Do people really need to have it explained to them how horrendous this would have been. Jesus in his human body would have had all the same emotions as any other human. That is the point!! that is why he came to earth. That is the sacrifice he gave us!!! Yes he could have rescued himself, and his father could have to. But because he loved his father so much he made this sacrifice to save us.

  And how grateful are we? Well, we question in all our wisdom if he is good enough to be gods son because we question that this is what happened to him and why he would have been afraid. He had the fear even before they actually did anything because he knew what was going to happen. Not just the fear of the unknown, but the fear of the known. He even asked his father if it was possible to have this taken away. He knew he was going to experience it as a human.

  I don't know about anyone else here, but if I was going through this experience I sure as hell wouldn't appreciate people questioning how I reacted to it. Imagine how he must have felt when they were laughing at him on the cross. And some of us continue to laugh.........

  so...i've noticed there are so many topics that don't have to do with jw-related things, like recent ones where someone complained about this very thing, not realizing that his own thread is, by existence, just a complaint with nothing relevant to any of our lives as jws..

  I really enjoy the diversity on here. It gives me the opportunity to see things from other points of view.

  Terry I would question the Bible canon too. Personally I think it is wise to read other books not included and make my own mind up rather than having a church decide for me what is and isn't biblical.

  Lets face it, not all bibles use exactly the same Canon. Even the Catholic church has changed their minds on what should and shouldn't be there.

  Anyone who believes the Trinity is simple and obvious is totally delusional. Read the Athenasian Creed for the definition of Trinity. If you don't believe that, then you don't believe the Trinity and you're just making up your own doctrine as you go (which is pretty much what most Trinitarians do, because the doctrine is ridiculous and insane).

  I agree with you about the trinity. It all stems from Catholic nonsense from what I can see. It is just a weapon to label christians as being non christians because they don't hold their beliefs.

  Just the same as watchtower teachings. Religion uses the trinity belief to control and condem.

  Why do people have to make Jesus equal to God? Jesus never claimed to be.
